RE: Well, adios Panasonic!

I just watched ST again last night.... I vaguely recall there were quite a few players that had some issues with it, most fixed by firmware. I played it in an Oppo with bitstream audio and I'm pretty sure I detected a <0.5s audio dropout once, non-repetable. Others have reported much more frequent and longer dropouts, also not repeatable as to when they happen. So even the much-ballyhooed Oppo isn't perfect with ST yet, they say they're still working on it. Apparently using the player to do the audio decoding is glitch-free.

You might try ST again with BD-Live disabled, and/or your ethernet cable disconnected, if you have those features...often solves some play problems. Also try wiping your BD-Live cache if you can/have one, sometimes stuff gets "remembered" that interferes with subsequent re-playing.
