Unless there's something particularly unique about the JBL Pro Cinema 600 speakers,

Here's how it's normally done, and, btw, years ago I used to have the CT80's 10" big brother

I'm assuming you have a center channel speaker and two rear speakers to go with the JBL towers and one sub.

Connect the Front left and front right speaker terminals on yer receiver to the JBL towers with 12-16 gauge speaker wire. Observe polarity, i.e., speaker wire from red terminal on receiver to red terminal on speakers, and, black to black.

Similarly, run speaker wire from the receiver's center channel terminals to the center channel speaker

Similarly, run speaker wire from the rear channel terminals to the rear channel speakers.

Hook the "sub out" jack to an RCA interconnect long enough to reach the sub. These interconnects can be bought at Radio Shack, Wal Mart, Best Buy, etc.. Since usually there is a single sub out jack on the receiver and two sub input jacks on the sub, you'll need to get a "Y" splitter to hook up the interconnect to the sub. The single end of the "Y" will be "female" and receive the male end of the interconnect and the double end of the "Y" will be "male" and will plug into the sub's inputs. Be SURE the connections are tight or you WILL get hum.

Since you have tower speakers AND a sub, set the Front speakers on your receiver to "Small", answer "yes" as to whether you have a sub or not, and also set the center and rears to "small". Set yer crossover on yer sub to about 80hz and set your volume on the sub to a level you're comfortable with. Alternatively, you could set the Front speakers to "large" and set the crossover to about 45hz. Yer choice. If the fronts are set to small ALL the bass is routed to yer sub, if set to large, the Front speakers will get a full range signal, the fronts will produce bass as will the sub (but only the frequencies below what you set the crossover at). If you set the crossover on yer sub too high, both the main speakers and the sub will be reproducing bass at the same frequencies and you may well get a very boomy sound.

This is basic. Somebody else may have more elaborate setup instructions.
