Saw Amelie last night and was floored - I smile just thinking of the name. Aside from the story, something I wasn't prepared for was the visual beauty of the film. Texture that was almost cross-sensory; I swear I know what green and red (or red and green) taste like now - Amalie rivaled the City of Lost Children for visually stunning eye candy...every scene was, well, hand-painted, if that makes sense. Jean-Pierre Jeunet must be someone I like:-)

Really a beautiful film on alot of levels.
