Follow Ups:
Garbo and Gilbert in "Flesh and the Devil" (1927). Intensly erotic!

True story of two sisters...maids to an aristocratic and cantakerous old woman and her plump and dopey daughter in early 20th century France. The movie does an excellent job of showing the division between society that existed back then and probably still exists today. The sisters are under such strict rules of obedience and seclusion that they only have each other for entertainment, discussion and ultimately, sexual gratification. The scene of their "first kiss" is absolutely one of the most erotic, heart-pounding, moments I've seen on film. The subsequent "love scenes" are done tastefully and with no nudity whatsoever. There's one scene of the sisters undressing each other in their bedroom, and a follow-up scene in the movie of one sister pleasuring the other in the kitchen while the madam of the house and her daughter sit just beyond the kitchen door in the parlor. With this movie, Jodhi May confirmed to me that her brilliant acting in "Last of the Mohicans" was not a fluke. It's a shame that the film is out of print and very, very difficult to find - probably due to its subject matter - as it is a profound film with great writing, direction and lighting, IMHO.

The film is available new and used through Amazon, so it is not out of print, as I thought.
The Hunger - lesbian love scene by an elegant Blonde French Dame and American Redhead w/ Bette Davis eyes. You guys know who they are.
It's been over 10 years since the one time I saw it. I recall it being a very weird movie. The love scene was my favorite part though because it was shot in stills.

I saw it in a San Francisco "art house": a really pretentious movie called "The Yellow Balloon". Most of the flick wasn't worth watching except for a seduction scene on a deserted beach. WOW! It was very natural and slow and incredibly sexy (and far more erotic and believable than anything I've ever seen in a porno flick.) It made the rest of the movie look silly, especially since this beautifully done and wholly believable scene was almost forgoten as the movie continued. BAD SCRIPTING but a wonderful, memorable scene. Had the rest of the movie been made with such care, the movie might have been remembered by other than me and the filmmakers. In a more conventional movie I would have to say that the bathtub scene in "Red Dust" is about at the top of my list. That's the "Red Dust" with Gable and Harlow. A classic screen pairing and a classic film. I think in 1932 it was really pushing the envelope.
Harlow always did. ( pushing...)
!000% sexier than MM.

This was pretty steamy for a straight-to-tape crime flick featuring Chris Walken. Joan and Ann, fooling about on the bed was pretty erotic. The movie? Stunk on ice.

When Jessica Rabbit sings her torch song in "Who Frame Roger Rabbit".
"I'm not dirty, I'm just drawn that way"Another film I remember as being very erotic was the Anthony Perkins/Kathleen Turner film "Crimes of Passion" No particular scene, but the entire film was Kathleen at her peak of sexuality as China Blue, aided greatly by the score which consisted solely of Dvorak's New World Symphony.

...while erotism, and immediate seduction, is in the air, in a most electrifying way!The film was Aristarain´s "Lugares Comunes" (Common Places), and I think it has not still been translated into English.
In it, there´s a scene in which Fernando Robles (Federico Luppi), a man in his sixties, meets Tutti Tudela (María Fiorentino), a librarian in her late forties, when he comes in looking for some info about something I can´t remember now and, in a short conversation he, just from courtesy, threads, in a few minutes, kind of a spider web of galantry around her, who becomes trapped, and surrenders to the charms of his talk, making it clear, without reservations, that if he moved a single finger, she´d follow him to the end of the world...
Top class playing from both, in a scene which would deserve a high place in the archives of erotism. And so unexpected, that it takes the viewer off guard, and charms him too.
The film is very good, and it was awarded a Goya, last year.
If you ever find it, have a look at it: you´ll never repent.

What is the name of the director ? I may look if I can get it in France....Thank you Bernardo !
Erotism ( sex ) is always in the mind....

I'd forgotten the name of the film until you mentioned it, but Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie in Venice definately take the gold medal when it comes to love making in cinema, although 'eroticism' is usually associated with something rather....slower?For 'erotic' I'd have to opt for Brit Eklund's nubile, wall-pounding dance in 'The Whicker Man', and the rape - or at least it begins as a rape - in 'Straw Dogs' is both erotic and questioning.
Excellent film.

It is hard to impress us old geezers, but I recall being completely taken by the scene in Persona - where one lady describes to the other one of her experiences. The sensation was more intense than I remember ever getting from any scene that actually involved two (OK, more or less) people doing it.
Erotic to the hilt. Plus some.

just sleazy and stupid. I know a lot of people like it but I have never been able to understand why.Basinger's character in "L.A. Confidential" was more convincing and far more erotic.

...the scene where Kim is reviewing a slide show alone in her office. The art, the music and Kim's sultriness all come together beautifully as she proceeds to pleasure herself. I especially liked how the scene starts slowly with her looking "bored" and playing with her hair as she reviews the slides. And then, the music and the slides all build in tempo until she finally drops the remote, reclines in her chair and plants her feet on the wall (at which point the scene ends and the viewer is left to assume she finishes).
