A beautiful lighthearted commedy, witty and with tons of good taste.We were sorry when it was over - it is pretty short, at about 78 minutes, but that was 78 *enjoyable* minutes.
The tax inspector is hilarious.

Of course this film is cruel! At least for the first two third!
For the record: Jacques Villeret ( who plays the " con " ) almost commit suicide after having trouble with the IRS and his wife leaving him only to be toped with alcoholism...He should be fine by now returning to some films to be made...
I had a view at this picture after a two years pause..still really funny and I compare the French to the English track....Go to school and learn the language of Moliere! As the original is much " croustillant " like a ...baguette Francaise...
has the need to resort to "cruel" humor to do it. We both laughed till we hurt.

all 2000 people in the audience wee laughing for those 78 minutes. I think that it was the director who spoke to the audience prior to the screening and it was quite enjoyable. They showed an interesting short, but I have no clue what it was, but equally funny.Take care, Chris
