Anna Karina is one of the most beautiful women of the French sixties.
The French Sixties you say? That in itself should make people interested.
Thank you rhizomatic for reminding me, albeing unknowingly, of that haunting beauty.
Anna played many roles, and I don't pretend to have seen most of them, but of those I know, the Bande � part (Band of Outsiders) is quite special.
By all means, get that movie. If you are a man, the scene with the dance will leave you in a state of mental disarray. If you are a woman... well, please tell me after seeing the film.
The dance scene, and the run through the Louvre are the moments one shall never forget... I promise you. They are forever parts of world cinema's finest creations. The dance is simple and repetitive, and Anna turns it into a movie within a movie - please watch her every move.

Anna Karina never looked more beautiful or acted as greatly as in "My Life to Live". Has anyone seen it?
Also, I have a boot of the French TV special. And her autograph!
Also, she recorded a cd a few years back. It recently went out of print but you may still find a copy around. It's a caberet type music. Karina has a smokey, husky, sexy voice. Something like a French Marianne Faithfull.

...the "Anna" French TV special from the '60s with Karina and Jean-Claude Brialy with music by Serge Gainsbourg? I have the soundtrack, but I've never seen the program, and I'm curious to find out what it's like.

She was Godard�s muse as Roger Vadim too ( remember BB and J.Fonda ) Played under the direction from Agnes Varda too.
She is a French " Institution ".

      Yes, I read some. Of course most of them were just nagging complaints: "My dear, there's still no response to my previous twelve letters!" He was extremely sensual in them too.
      I am sure she was having good laughs showing them to her lover - probably excited him.
      And then she arrived to that dreaded Italy... with her lover by her side!
      I say - THAT'S an INSTITUTION! Man was so blind, his chief of staff Berthier had to explain to him how things worked between a wife left behind and a young officer.
