Yesterday, while cruising the DVDs at Sam's Club, I noticed "The Gospel of John". Sam's price: $39.95! One disk! Big, outsized plastic package, nothing special. Why not $19.95? Checked the internet and it is NOT available from the sources I normally use.
TGOJ is a powerful movie that I would like to have but NOT at that rip-off price. What's Mel gonna charge for his? $99.95?

Is it a Criterion? I have seen them at that price. Supposedly you are paying for a high quality transfer and superior extras.
