who is she and what other good movies is she in? I was quite taken by her for some reason.Finally watched the DVD of "Last Samurai," and I agree with the negative comments posted here previously. If a true filmmaker had made it, it could have been a great movie IMO. It's sad that Hollywood decided that the American hero was more spiritual Japanese than real Samurai's, more skilled in the sword than real samurais, able to seduce Japanese women at will, and impossible to kill despite multiple shots with the Getling gun.

In my opinion only complete lack of understanding and respect for other culture can create movies like this one. What bothers me the most is that young generation is not reading books anymore. They are learning history by movies, crappy movies like this one. SO what would young people know about Samurai? That they were these poor nice kind people who lived in small villages and were mass-killed by ruthless Emperor?
