Just wondering what made more money in the first weeks of its showing? The passion of the Christ? Or Fahrenheit 9-11. Also, (A look into the future) who will win more awards? Gibson, or Moore? It aught to be interesting.
Follow Ups:
I doubt that The Passion and F-9/11 will be competing in many of the same categories for awards as the latter is a documentary. It probably has a good shot for the Oscar for best documentary.

If Bush wins, they will do anything possible to make it score high awards. If he loses... the interest to it will be lost too.

...and hard core bible thumpers who got a hard-on to attend repeat showings and take their families (captive audience); think of it as Jesus Christ Super Star Wars. ;^)Seriously, theaters were bought out by church groups, lot's of word of mouth advertising and a targeted openning around Easter. Personally, I look upon it as an apples and oranges kind of thing, these films are competing for different audiences, IMO. However, a more interesting analysis might be how much the events of 9/11 inspired the making of both films.
One thing's for sure, Fahrenheit 9/11 was made for a heck of a lot less money than The Passion.
