  I doubt that The Passion and F-9/11 will be competing in many of the same categories for awards as the latter is a documentary. It probably has a good shot for the Oscar for best documentary.

  Seriously, theaters were bought out by church groups, lot's of word of mouth advertising and a targeted openning around Easter. Personally, I look upon it as an apples and oranges kind of thing, these films are competing for different audiences, IMO. However, a more interesting analysis might be how much the events of 9/11 inspired the making of both films.

  One thing's for sure, Fahrenheit 9/11 was made for a heck of a lot less money than The Passion.
