If it is true that all plots can be boiled down to two (stanger comes to town, hero sets off on a journey) than the two Toy Story movies exemplify the point. TT II is a rare example of the sequel being as good as or maybe even better than the original. I still laugh at the funny lines (Tyrannsasurus saying, "I can't look, will somebody cover my eyes?!") and the song by the cowgirl always brings a tear to my eye. A wonderful film for all ages. And what color!

Don't know if you have kids (grandkids?) ....... but what would you estimate the intended age for the 2 Toy Story films to be?My 3 year old niece loved Nemo and I would like to get her some other stuff to watch........
I do have a (grown now) son. I would estimate the audience for TT I and II to be just a little older than Nemo, maybe 4-5 on up. On up to the very aged, that is, they are both so universal, like the work of Buster Keaton. Both Toy Stories have sequences a bit darker (in terms of scariness) than Nemo.

Yes, I have seen it and I agree that it it even improves over TT II in terms of cinamatic presentation, although not in terms of story.
