Follow Ups:
OR about 4 0r 5 Marx Bros fillums. the skit with Chico completely misunderstanding viaduct is particularly good.As is 'night at the opera' - [An art form and 'culture', that will always need to have the piss taken. The seat prices, after my taxes subbing it, too, - makes very LONG 'randy' crow noise!]
But the mirror scene, in Duck Soup, is hilarious.
NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING with 'the three stooges' - no more apt name was ever chosen. Wack, wack,......., wack, hilAIRyus!
Laurel and Hardy - in the Foreign Legion, forget it's name.
"I say Ollie, anyone with a name like Hitler, can't be all THAT bad!"
we luv's yer Stan.LOA but not least, the poker faced guy, with the lil' pork pie hat.
Anything with him, especailly the train one - "The General".

KB part 2 was so tedious and pretentious that I found myself laughing aloud during this one..........never saw the first part but i assume it was (at least) as ridiculous.
yeah...the first one sets the mood...Daryl Hannah's character's demise has to be one of the best I've seen...:)

I think it was the second and last of the series starring Chevy Chase. The best in stupid but funny scenes. The point were he had the fat cop on all four squealing like a pig is the reason I have a hernia.

The scene where he is playing the preacher and asks if there is anyone in the audience named "Bill Bob" never fails to kill me. I am laughing now at the thought.

...with & by John Cleese.
Ok, it's a BBC series, but it REALLY hurt!

Jim the Waco Kid : Hey boys. Look what I got here.

Charlie : They said you was hung.
Bart : And they was right.Lili Von Shtupp : Is that a ten-gallon hat, or are you just enjoying the show?
Morticia: "Gomez, you frightened me last night. You were unhinged, a madman... Do it again."

...togeteher with "One, Two, Three...", "Some like it Hot", "Dr. Strangelove", and a couple more.It helps to have been grown in a (formerly) officially Catholic country to enjoy it in full, though.

"Mad Mad Mad Mad World" was the funniest movie I had ever seen until I saw the above mentioned "Blazing Saddles". I saw it at the Lycium theater in Bayonne, NJ around 1964\65.

I remember going to a Drive-In movie as a young teenager with my grandparents and watching the Streisand comedy...we laughed until we cried...a memorable evening...

I'd have to say his first film, shot while he was in univeristy, called "Canibal: the Musical" takes the prize, IMHO.His other film, "Orgazmo", also rules the gut-laugh category (although to be honest, it takes on some certain religous beliefs and twists them seriously out of context- that might find offensive people, but I'm okay with it), simply because of its outright crudeness!
I'm partial to ANY low budget comedy film (the cheaper, the better), ESPECIALLY the ones that Troma Productions released back in the 80's.
Long live "The Toxic Avenger" and "The Class Of Nukem High"!!!
Cheers,

There was only one "really" funny scene but it's one of my fave's from any movie. It's where Myers played his dad and was tauting the younger son among other things. "He's gonna cry himself to sleep tonight on his 'uge pilla".

I love the line from the same character about Colonel Sanders putting a secret ingredient in the chicken that makes one crave it "fortnightly."

Everybody in the theatre was zonked and from the first gag line in the credits until the end it was non-stop clamour. In fact, I don't think I remembered a thing about it until I saw it years later on tape.
( huh? )
