Peter Jackson working on King Kong remake?

My local paper had a small blurb(over the weekend) that Peter Jackson (LOTR) is working on a King Kong remake. Has anyone else heard about this?
Whether or not you like LOTR, this could make for quite an interesting remake, using similiar cinematography/computer animation.

There have been a number of posts here regarding this. KK is one of Jackson's favorite films. It'll be set in the early thirties, like the original and will star Naomi Watts in the Fay Wray role. KK himself will be 100% CGI.
