A seriously wounded Fred McMurray narrates this flashback tale of an insurance salesman seduced into murder by my favorite 30's/40's screen hottie, Barbara Stanwick. McMurray's boss, Edward G. Robinson, invetigates the crime. Billy Wilder and Raymond Chandlker adapted the story form a James M. Caine novel and Wilder directed.
A classic, worth many viewings. An obvious influence on "Body Heat".

Robinson-Keys isn't his boss. He could be, but McMurray-Neff rejected the offer early in the movie.

I stand corrected. Robinson is the Claims Manager and McMurray is in sales.
