Films/DVD Asylum

I know it has been discussed before, but this just opened in Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex.

Absolutely outstanding. I know that Hero was a great movie, but there was something lacking in it for me. I still liked it--don't get me wrong.

Not so with Flying Daggers. I was mesmerized and thoroughly entertained. Zhang Ziwi probably had something to do with it. I like her in a central role. I think she is extraordinary, and we're not just talking about looks.

But the cinematography and choreography were fantastic. I hoping for a Superbit release on DVD down the road. But's it's probably not a "big" enough movie to warrant that.

It's a shame. It opened at only 4 screens this first week.
