by Steven Kloves (Susie & The Baker Boys) with Denis Quaid, Meg Ryan, James Caan & Gwyneth Paltrow.
A fine, simmering texan pyscho-thriller with what is maybe Denis Quaid's finest performance...
I had to look up Paltrow's previous films (Se7en)- one of those faces you remember and an excellent, sexy actress, IMHO.
Recommended.

Follow Ups:
You might want to check out 'Blood Simple'. It is the first film by the Coen Brothers and is now out in DVD.A truly amazing film, IMO.
And "Blood Simple" is a far better film than "Flesh and Bone". BTW, the director's cut of B/S is shorter than the original. I can only think of one other instance where that is so and that film is "Tom Jones" where the director's cut is six minutes shorter than the original.

I thought it was a decent movie. Not particularly good or bad. I think that Dennis Quaid's best performance was in "Savior." A very good performance in a very good film.

I found it violent and uninvolving and it was hard to believe that the Ryan character could remember what she di.

..she only remembered because of the photo she carried with her?
Maybe I missed something?
I didn't think the violence in the beginning carried through the film, just set of the story.
Not as violent as a large majority of other films.
