Be gentle with me, now. Just had my DLP calibrated and I wanted to see (yes, I know there were other choices) what my baby could do. Well, I have to say, my wife and I had a lot of fun with this movie. Special effects, color, to die for. Great sound track. Can't stand Bruce Willis (though I loved him In Country), but the rest of the cast (Gary Oldman, Ian Holm to name a few) was great. Real escapist, cartoonish stuff. I viewed it with the necessary grain of salt. Of course, a 46" screen hooked to some serious speakers etc. sure helps.

Follow Ups:
My ISF guy uses this one as a test after calibration. I personally cannot stand it. I do love "In Coountry", however.

Despite my dislike for the film it IS a superb transfer and a good test for proper display settigs.

Warren,I use it as one of my set-up DVDs and there is a really big difference.
The vibrancy of the colours is superb.
