Kevin Bacon executive produced and stars in this this sexy crime thriller about two high school Miami area students who accuse a guidance counselor ( Matt Dillon) of rape. Bill Murray has a nice turn as a defense attorney and Robert Wagner has a tiny part as the husband of one of the parents. Some Hitchcockian twists as the plot progresses. Much better than you think it's going to be. Neve Campbell is one of the students.

Follow Ups:
The film a lot of style, and a fair amount of substance. It is fun to look at, because of both attractive ladies, and sunny Florida. The twists and turns are fun, made better by Bill Murray, who is clearly having a lot of fun with his role.

I might say this film is sort of a "quasi-guilty pleasure". Its long-winded plot has more twists than Chubby Checker, chock full
of eye-candy (for both genders),generally good performances, especially by Bill Murray, Hitchcock-style directing by John McNaughton,
an excellent original music score by George Clinton blends well with
Jeff Kimball's cinematography of the steamy South Florida-Glades setting.
Film critic, James Berardinelli gave it 1&1/2 stars out of 4, hated it, said, amongst other things,e.g.,predictable, that lesbian
scenes twixt Richards and Campbell paled beside Tilly and Gershen
ones in "Bound"(in my view, a good film also, a kind of kinky "Thelma and
Louise" but with an upbeat ending for the gals). Maybe so, but "Wild
Things" has lots of other things going for it. It's sort of an erotic-decadent,fun roller-coaster of a
film: perhaps the plot would fall apart under close scrunity, but, hey, how much does one analyze when riding coasters? I recommend this film (to those with tastes for these kinds of flicks) as a companion piece to De Palma's "Body Double". 3 out of 4 SuperNovas ~AH
