Oscar-winning actress Teresa Wright has died at 86.
Her credits include: MRS. MINIVER (best supporting actress Oscar - 1942)
BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES - (best picture Oscar - 1946)
THE MEN (Marlon Brando's screen debut -1950).
Teresa Wright was one helluva fine actress. Her three Oscar nominations and one win attest to that. She had a winsome yet naturalistic appeal that appealed to movie audiences. To my tastes she was one of the greatest actresses of her generation and an extremely beautiful woman, in the girl-next-door mold.
She will be missed.

Another fine film people may have seen is Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt. She is on screen almost the entire film. But my favorite perfomance is the already mentioned Best Years of Our Lives. Everyone is superb in that film.

She had this fresh innocent look that you hardly can find anymore in today movie stars.
And certainly no anymore in Meg since her face lifting...He-he
