Not a film I would care to remember.
Had some good moments but very overrated. I liked Gary Sinise charactor.
A film called "Lt. Dan" might have been a good one. Would have rather seen a movie about Lt. Dans life with "Benjamin Buford Blue" & how they started a shrimpin' buisness after the Army. Forrest Gump coulda been a minor role as a boat-hand played by anyone else...On the other hand, "Forrest Gump" could have been a movie with more of an edge to it had someone like Johnny Depp played the part.

VERY overated like you say. Can't every fault Sinise though, he's awesome in everything.
