I have the restored two disc DVD version and last night I watched it with Roger Ebert's commentary. He is so much better than Peter Bogdanovitch, who also comments on a separate track. This is also true of their commentaries on "Citizen Kane", where that also both appear. For "Casablanca", Ebert points out the many phony effects shots and the big goof no one seems to mention: whay would letters of transit in and out of Vichy France be signed by the free French's de Gaul?

Who cares if there are faults in this movie, I enjoy watching it time after time. Can't say that about too many . Besides most films have faults in them.
One that comes to mind is "Jaws", which remains very enjoyable despite being filled with numerous continuity errors.
