Well a film not to be missed. Bergman like but just with a little Japanese manierism, theatrically speaking.
A wonderful strong and beautiful film.
It remains us of life as life and not as a dream inside the dream of life.
Or is death not the end?

Follow Ups:
After Life (the movie...)?

No I have not. Have you see Mondovino?

strongly urge you to see "After Life." Drink a nice Oregon Pinot as you do.
BTW, I haven't forgotten I owe you a couple of Oregon's best. Because of my 4-yr. old, we're delaying any European trips. We had flirted with the idea of visiting my photographer cousin in Lisbon but after another 1-week trip with our daughter...we're not enthusiastic about a lengthy plane ride.
I know you're position of airplane travel as well so it looks like you'll have to be patient. Rest assured, your wine is maturing safely in its air-conditioned "library."

Agreed! I found this to be a profound movie experience.

We spend so little time questioning where we came from before birth and where we'll go after death....
I guess you meant: "...it reminds us...."
instead of :
"It remains us..."?
![]()
As a Freudian slip both. But my intend was " reminds "...
...language.
On dit "my intent".
;0)
ps. je suis maintenant content quand quelqu'un me corrige...la plupart, ils ont arreté il y a longtemps...

Intention, naturellement!
Merci.
