Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Viggo Mortenson are super in this thriller about a rich currency trader who hires his wife's lover to kill her (the wife is even richer). Things go awry, however, and then the plot thickens. This is based roughly on the play and Hitchcock film "Dial M for Murder" but deviates as the story moves on. Douglas is particularly good in his Gordon Gecko type role here and there is a sub-plot involving a downturn in his business. Paltrow has never been sexier.

Follow Ups:
I was actually disappointed that the Michael Douglas evil rich creep died. I was hoping they would break from the original story and give this character a sequel.

with the adjective "sexier." Than what?, one is left to ponder.
A pomegranite? An arm chair? A 15-yr. old boy whose physique she sports?

Well I do her find her sexy in her " Shakespeare in Love "And back then I was hoping that she would get a good actress too.
I am still waiting...

than Hilary Swank in "Boys Don't Cry."
She had an early promise that quicky evaporated - she would be exactly nothing without her papa. Now she is an Oscar Winning actress... give me a f@@ing break... her win cheapens the already cheap award.

Rico, you mean she was finally sexy?Note about Douglas: He certainly has movies crafted around his persona. Nobody does impudent rich better than him. He was great in "The Game".
