(all that we need is a new Superman and a Batman # Who Cares, as well) anyone else wishing summer already was over (film-wise) like me?
Few good films get released for fear of having them drown in the popcorn tsunami. Ah, for the old days when blockbusters were geared to semi-adults!

Follow Ups:
Charley and the Chocolate Factory! I've been on the edge of my seat for two years waiting for this one.I have had my fill of Stars Wars. I'm trying to find a DVD of the original without the "bonus" scenes.
Right now in Hollywood name recognition=$$$$$
I read a review of the "longest Yard" in the Chicago Tribune today. Basically POS. There was a sidebar on how certain "icon" movies should not be remade. I agree.
You may be able to find one of several laserdisc issues of the "Star Wars" movies prior to the revisons but there are no DVDs of Episodes IV-VI that contain the films as originally released.

I just got through watching all three of the "renewed" versions of IV-VI, and I must say that Lucas did himself a disservice by trying to improve them. If anything, he sucked out what little life was in them to begin with.

Like we need another Batman or Superman movie, I can't wait to see how they screw up Poseidon Adventure and War of the Worlds. What's with all the remakes, anyway? Has Hollywood run out of ideas for original films? Don't answer that ;^)

ascribed metaphysical meaning to that dreck. Really.
"The animus of the power figure expressed..." blah, blah, blah.
Next, that reviewer will deconstruct that vegetative icon, The Jolly Green Giant.

He's beloved by middle-brow critics like those at The New Yorker , and if the same exact movie had been directed by some unknown hack, it would've been slammed or ignored. Lee's made some decent but ultimately middling films, though highly regarded by the bourgeosie, and his reputation among them earned him a free pass for this piece of nonsense.
