Sorry but that movie hit me emotionally the wrong way. But yes, it is in a way what I was asking for.If the movie revolves around a passionate relationship between two lovers than I'll pass.
I'm looking for something a little more innocent that may even take one back to their childhood, or something that displays hope through suffering, trials, poverty, and with the hopes of having a strong family bond for encouragement. All this, or like it, I would like to see on film. (and the rest of the story)

How about "Sounder" (the original one)? Also, the guys here are on track with "Secrets and Lies."
