A tour de force of editing and proof (if anyone other than Hollywood bean counters needed it) of Welles' mastery over the medium. For those who thought Welles disappeared into a vat of Paul Masson wine in his later years, check it out. Recently released on Criterion. (I have heard he spent 8 hours/day for months on the editing).
