I know that this film is not without controversy here. I just watched it again. The acting is truly superb. The interweaving stories are compelling. But I still have trouble with the jumbled manner of telling the stories, as the film constantly leaps back and forth in time. The DTS soundtrack is stunning. Worth a looksee and highly recommended.

Follow Ups:
I really enjoyed this film as well. One question I do have is this...why was it important for this film to jump around in time so much? A story as well-crafted as this appears to be must have a reason for doing it this way...

The director's previous film was apparently also constucted this way.

I thought it was powerful.
I can probably find faults if I want to but I sat through 3/4 of Swordfish last night...

Ok, I admit it.
I held it, I mean them, with the remote.
Frozen mams...
But after, I said to myself, 'is this a good pair of films or not'?
The answer was 'no'.

valuable.
It's a tough film to watch, but every time I do I appreciate the tortured character Benicio depicts so well. Naomi ain't bad, either.
The pity is it couldn't satisfy itself with depicting these tortured, interweaving lives without the hokey murder angle: Hollywood just has to have the ultra-violence, doesn't it?
Still, the great strengths of the film far outweigh the trite plot contrivances.
