Anyone watch it?
To me the best show on TV period.
For those of you who haven't discovered it:The Cylons have evolved into human form.
The Cylons believe in one "god" while the humans worship 13!If that ain't enough, some Cylons don't even know they're Cylons!
ANd the female Cylons are pretty damn hot and one is PREGNANT (by a human).
New season starts Jan 2006 but you can catch up on the season one DVD.
Follow Ups:
what's this business these days with the so called "seasons"? What happened to series that ran for a season, ususally 20 or so weeks and then go into reruns? These days, "seasons" are six episodes, then a three month run of reruns, then it's back for a "whole new season", then three more months of reruns. It's not just Battlestar as it seems to be the norm for all the commercial networks and it's annoying.
There are WAY too many inconsistancies for me. Okay, Baltar doesn't have a chip in his head and he's not crazy. The cylons can't be detected by any means, because there's no difference between them and the humans. The cylons can get pregnant. Riiight. If the cylons have this level of technology, that they can create LIFE, not just a simulation, then the humans are SO effing outmatched there's no contest.
If THAT was the story, that would be one thing. But the writers don't even realize how far out they've gone.
Oh yeah. The issue sidearm is the 9mm? Gimme a break! They could think of nothing better? I don't have a problem with slugthrowers, not at all. But a 9mm? That's not even a good cartridge for our level of technology, so why would an advanced society use it? Plus, it's a lousy idea to be shooting metal slugs on board space craft...has a nasty habit of going places that can prove fatal to lots of your shipmates. Think ferrocrystal.
And so on and so on and so on.
I've watched all the eps so far, but I doubt I'll be back in January. I love sci-fi, but Ronald D. Moore screwed up Carnivale after a promising start, and he's showing that he can't deliver over time.

All good points.. Moore often states he is not interested in "sci-fi" as much as charactor development and I can appreciate that. One aspect that answers some of your points and which sold me on a lot of points was the fact that they had to use old technology (read no chips or networks) to avoid Cylon virus infection. Hence no new weapons that could be used against the humans.
I too have a problem with the Cylons physical makeup- either they're machines or not, either they can be detected or not. Moore does keep skirting this issue but supposedly "all will be expalined.."
We'll see.Still appreciate the show for sheer entertainment value.

Excellent show. Loved the pilot, but I'm neutral about the first couple of episodes in season 1. Luckily, the show got MUCH better as the season progressed. I got the UK version of season 1 dvd before it ended here, but didn't watch it untill the season ended. Very good PQ for a TV show.
