Not much of a movie goer, When we go to Blockbuster, we never seem to know what to look for.
Would someone steer me to a website that lists movies by category in top ten or 100 rankings?
The only one Ive found is www.rottentomatoes.com and I sometimes agree with their rating and sometimes not.
Follow Ups:
I have not set foot in Blockbuster in years. Try Netflix. While others in this group have mixed feelings about this service, we really like it. The good thing is that you have the opportunity to rate the movies that you have viewed. You will then get other recs from Netflix periodically. This has led us to watch some movies that we otherwise might not have heard of.

You could check out Metacritic. They gather reviews, "analyze" them, and then assign scores on a scale of 0-100, from negative to positive. The average score is Metacritic's rating. Film critics being what they are however, there are bound to be rave reviews and reviews that tear the director a new one.
Try Roger Ebert's two books on "Great Movies". Some of it is on line at his site.
