Donald Sutherland is excelelnt as a Nazi spy in WW II England and Scotland. He has discovered that Allied weaponry poised to show an invasion at Calais is fake and that this would mean that the real invasion will come at Normandy. But he has to deliver the information dircetly to Hitler. On his way he is shipwrecked on the coast of Scotland. He gets involved with the wife of a bitter crippled man and various other adventures arise. An excellent film,
one I have seen more than once.

Wasn't she a fetching lass, so to speak. Nice hoobs.yes, a very good, suspenseful movie, one of my Sutherland favs also, along with Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
he makes a very good, mean spirited Senator who connives against president Geena Davis in Commander In Chief, Tuesdays, 8:00PM central. Ooops. Coming on now. Outta here, DD

I believe he was an Irishman traitor who hid out with a fetching woman that bore a strong resemblance to the woman in "Needle."
Anyhow, Sutherland does play evil well which shows his breadth: remember what a cracking job he did as an idiot in "Dozen"?

You remember that flick?

he's the very personification of evil. There's one scene where's he's talking to his mistress/girlfriend and just pauses and smiles; a really chilling film moment; Sutherland somehow doesn't look human, more like a wolf or a vampire
it's been a while, i got to check that movie again.
