God do I love seen George Sanders acting.
As for this film it scares me to death in the early sixties. So I had to see it after a so long time.
What is left?
No more " angst " that is for sure. And a film that is mostly outdated, still worth watching it as a.... " guilty pleasure "....And that George...
Follow Ups:
Looks interesting Patrick - never saw that one. My Sanders "guilty pleasure" is Psychomania. I never get tired of this B movie. Something left over from childhood I guess.

Yes, the childhood...
I think he was at his best, with Hitch. Think Rebecca or The Foreign Correspondant, and not from Sir Alfred, Mrs. Muir....

I too enjoyed 'Village of the Damned' on the big screen as a
youngster. Too bad Sanders committed suicide. There was a sort of
sequel in 1964, 'Children of the Damned', without Sanders. Children
were of different nationalities, not blue-eyed blondes, and did
not multiply at accelerated rates. Not the classic as 'VotD. John
Carpenter remade the 1960 original in 1995, but haven't seen it. That
film did not receive high marks at www.imdb.com. ~AH
