Although I have long avered that one doesn't have to be of the generation the film depicts i thought to myself last night as i watched it that is one IS of that generation (as I am) one can readily appreciate how exactly spot on Lucas' vision of that magicc September 1962 night is.The documentary on the latest DVD is prpbabably the best "making of" film I have seen. They evn included Harrison Ford and francis Ford Coppola as well as sound designer Walter Murtch. Together the film itself and the documentary make for an evening of fine viewing.

Follow Ups:
...I was in HS in the '60s and this perfectly captured my experience.I recall listening to Wolfman Jack broadcasting from Mexico and going into the local radio station one evening with a buddy to request some music. We cruised Main Street, hung out at the local drive-in burger joint at the end of town and drag raced outside of town.

Haven't seen this in ages. It's fun to watch, but i'm not a fan of Richard Dreyfuss.
