What's the subject of the film? Kotov's family, perhaps? Or another victim of the purges?

Watched Fassbinders Ali: Fear eats your Soul. Great moving motion picture.

  Burnt by the Sun I can recommend somewhat cautiously - there is plenty there to love, but I also found some things irritating. But I think it is bound to create strong impression.
  Ali is a good film.
