best film and a masterpiece he never equalled.
It's not out in DVD yet but I keep reading its supposed to be released soon.
If you have a good video with a decent foreign section near you it may have this gem.

  Usually, you're a little more sensitive to greatness.
  I think you may need to revisit this one? The lead actor gives a defining performance, one that captures what it's like to wander. Not one false note in the entire film.

    What I actually meant - but was unable to express, given the circumstances... pardom me... - was that trivial was the nomination, not the film.
    The film is of course great.

Yep. The store near me has it. I've seen it several time. Beautifully photographed. I too am waiting for the DVD. I don't understand what the hold up is.

My favorite is "It Happened One Night" Others are "Midnight Run", 'Harry and Tonto", "Little Miss Sunshine", and "Tumbleweeds".
Oh, does "Speed" count?
