Anybody know the # for their service department, or their website address. My wife left the AVP-9080R playing low, as we usually do, and went to the supermarket. There was no one left in the house, but as she returned, she could hear the thing blasting from outside in the driveway. The subwoofer volume had gone way up and it was shaking the house.
In a state of shock, with the kids clinging to her, she rushed to see what was happening and turned it down. Well by the time I got home there seems to be no sub output coming from the reciever.
The rest of speaker outputs seems ok, the Adcom amp that feeds the sub is ok, but its getting nothing from the reciever.
Any ideas what caused this strange occurrence?

AVP-9080R means nothing to 99.999999% of the people. Probably designers themself do not know it by this number. But let assume it is some kind of household equipment that emits loud noise (sound). Most of todays equipment comes with some sort of remote controler, and houses usually come with at least 2 pets per room. Some reptile, cat, dog, (artifitial pets count as well), could have walked over remote and create this comete crash in your house. If only one piece of equipment was ON, I would accept (upon received $100 000), that something was broken. If it was 2 or more pieces, then kill the cat. If by some accident you are not sentenced to live with some of this creatures, then you had your house broken into and people just had some fun.
