My son broke connectors off the RF modulator in my great old reliable, 35 pound Zenith VR32100. A tech told me repair of the modulator is not possible and it would be hard to find a replacement. With new VCRs going for around $100, a new VCR seems like the best best choice. I would, however, replace the Zenith's modulator (assuming I can find one) if simple soldering is all thats needed. Anyone familiar with this Zenith? Advice??
Follow Ups:
They go for like thirty bucks @ Radio Snak or online, if you can still get the signal to it . . .
That would work if the connection between the modulator and the circuit board is a simple one. The original modulator is packed in pretty tightly and I have no idea what to expect on the "inboard" end when I remove it. Will it be a simple +\- lead?
I'm no electrical engineer. Good luck!
