for a given 16:9 picture size, if available, as compared to buying that picture size in a 16:9 display. Still like that in the U.S.?

Follow Ups:
16:9 is the future and 4:3 is the past. As far as the present goes, most are in limbo. My suggestion: all display manufacturers cease production of 4:3 displays. To those that object -- either get on board or get left behind.

I like 16:9, but since I only watch DVD's... Actually, I have no idea what's going on in the TV world, where most people (not necessarily those here) are stuck. I get the impression that most TV is still transmitted 4:3, and people with a 16:9 format display get really annoyed with it, or use some pathetic "zoom" to fill the screen and get even more annoyed.
