  No official reviews yet, as not many units have gone out due to shipping delays related to west coast labor issues. My unit should arrive tomorrow and I will post initial impressions asap. You can do a search and see that some people have commented on the new player.

      Hey Q, Do you have a problem with the 999ES remote or controls? I have to press the operational buttons (PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, etc.) twice on the remote before the unit executes it. Also, the unit itself has the same problem. This is after a CD has been playing for 10 mins or so, or after the CD is finished.

      Let me know if you got this problem. I might have a defective one.

      Actually Q,
      I have gotten so frustrated with waiting for my unit to come from Sony, I went ahead and ordered a unit from an online retailer with a very liberal return policy. It is a sad thing when Sony sends out units to everyone else on earth before their own employees.
