Hi there-I am having difficulty connecting my progressive scan DVD player to the HD input (AV4) on the back of my TV. I have to switch the DVD player to interlaced format instead of progressive format. Please advise if anyone has had a similar problem and the steps they took to correct it.

Hi ErockI had EXACTLY the same problem with a Pioneer DVD. Unfortunately mine's disconnected at the moment because I'm in the middle of mi=oving, but I had to connect BOTH the composite and s-video connections to the same port (AV3, I think).
Give it a try and if you still have problems, send me an e-mail, as I hope to connect mine up agin in a few days
