You can probably find it for 600+. Absolutely stunning receiver. And I continue to be shocked at how much I'm pleased with this new Dolby Pro Logic II. Music and old stereo movies are magically transformed. Take my word for it.

You could probably get the RX-V1300 for around the same price and get 20 more watts per channel to boot. But I agree with Hepcat on the Yamaha`s quality sound both in music and hometheater and with plenty of extras to keep you happy. Myself, I own the HTR-5490, the twin of the RX-V1200 but without the pre-outs and the IEC terminal. But then again, I paid $574 and the receiver had only been available for 2 months. I did just do an IEC installation tho and hooked up a VenHaus flavor 3 power cord that makes my Yamaha sing soprano. Highly recommended! Regards, Robin
