Video Asylum

Since no one at the FCC appears to want to ensure that commercials' volume don't exceed the programming's by more than 75%, I have been intrigued by the Terk VR-1 television volume regulator.

Anyone tried one of these things? If so, do they work at all or do they suck out what little life there is in the programming these days?
