I have a Sylvania VCR, Emerson DVD Player, RCA Satellite Receiver, Sony Stereo Receiver, Sony CD Changer and a RCA TV. What I'm wanting to do is wire my Stereo Receiver where anything that goes through the TV will play through my stereo. I currently have the DVD Player, satellite and TV where sound goes through the stereo, but when I want to have stereo sound for the VCR, I have to disconnect one of the machines and connect the VCR. Is there a way to do what I'm wanting so that I don't have to keep disconnecting something for something else to work?

What is this switch called?

This unit or one like it is what you need. You can find similar items at Best Buy, Walmart, etc.

Wal-Mart has a 4-input model that includes the choice of S-video for the input devices ($17). Radio Shack should have a similar model.

Dunno. Just ask them for a multiple input switch. They have several although most will switch 3 cables (video, L/R audio) from among 2-4 choices. Some are manual, some remote control. Browse.
Well, you need another receiver with more audio inputs or an external swtich that will let you select more than one input without disconnecting/reconnecting. Radio Shack has such switches.
