Does anyone here know this player? It got a very favorable review in the new TPV and can be had through Amazon for $50.00. In my secondary office/guest bedroom system both the CD player and DVD player conked at about the same time and because the 3960 apparently has great CD audio I am very tempted. I don't need progressive scan because my wide screen TV in that system is analog. Thanks for any information.

Yes, this is the most studied player in DVDdom...but the experts are all on the Digital asylum not here.
