Who makes the best (60"+) plasma televisions?

A friend of mine recently asked me who makes the best large sized plasma televisions and I was only able to repsond with Panasonic seems to the brand behind all the newcasters on television so it must be pretty good but as I thought more about it I realized Panasonic may be there for reasons other than picture quality.
Which brands are rated highly in terms of performance and reliability?
What is the reputation of the following brands and is there another brand he should consider?
Fujitsu
Marantz
Panasonic
Pioneer Elite
Runco
Sony

If you have to have a 6x" plasma today, get the Panasonic TH-65PHD7UY.
However, I would recommend waiting until Q4 2005 or early in 2006 as 1920x1080p models will be out. Right now, 1366x768 is the standard for these and 50" models.
