  i would disconnect EVERYTHING from the Plasma Display (minus power).... Then connect a camcorder (IMPORTANT: running on batteries and not using the AC adapter)...check the picture... Still getting the lines? you have a display problem! not getting the lines anymore? likely a ground-loop....

    Thanks Sam. I shall give that I try. I did isolate the power to the plasma but I still had either the dvd or satellite hooked up.
