I just recently picked up 3 Umatic machines, two Sony, and one Teac. The Teac was never used, and no hours on it. Oh, and a boatload of Sony umatic tapes. The problem is with two of the machines. I believe that two of them have a dirty video head. All 3 machines worked fine at first, but now the teac and one of the Sony's have color problems. The output is mostly b&w, with "spotty" or "fringy" color. I've tried everything I can think of with no-luck. Tape-head cleaner tapes, Tape-head cleaner with a Q-tip. Any suggestions? (besides throwing in the towel)

So you are saying you have cleaned the heads with Q-tips? If so, are you saying that it did not work?
