I got a Panasonic AG-VP310 Combo DVD/VHS player on Friday, shipped from NYC to my humble abode in California. I know the knock on combo players, but I don't use either that much and it suits my purposes. It hooked up fine on Sunday and I loved it - until it wouldn't turn on Tuesday evening. I've contacted the seller to find out their suggestions. But you guys know more than almost any dealer, so I turn to you.
I've checked the manual and everything was done right. Does anyone know some sort of secret handshake or something I might have missed? It will be most embarrassing if there is some little thing I've overlooked. I really don't want to have to ship it back or take it to the factory repair shop 40 minutes away if I don't have to.
Follow Ups:
are you saying the unit wil not power up, or powers up showing a light that power is going through the unit, but will not function?

No lights. Nothing. Nadda. Zilch. Looks like it will have to go in for factory servicing. I've never had anything go bad after just 2 days. I've had a few things not work out of the box, but never this.

If the unit has an easy remove top, check for an internal fuse. If this unit has a detachable IEC, the fuse maybe located in the little snap out plastic piece just below which is part of the same housing. I suspect however, this might be a bad circuit board or power supplyhope you get it going without added expenses.
