I need a 32 inch flat panel TV -- what should I buy?

Because of room dimensions, I need to get a tv that protrudes from the wall as little as possible. Any suggestions as to type (e.g. LCD or Plasma) and brand/model would be much-appreciated. I am thinking about getting the latest Sharp Aquos 32 inch LCD TV, but the research out there is not all that detailed.
