Desperately need opinions on the B&K 507, version 1 or 2.

I have to consolidate my system into a music and movie system. At the moment I have a high end two channel system and a high end tv. Would the the 507 satisfy an audiophile soundwise? I am thinking of partnering this unit with my arcam dv89 dvd / dvd audio / cd player and a surround canton ergo speaker package? Is this unit comparable sonically to lets say a mid level audiophile integrated amp like a musical fidelity, etc. Thanks, Gerald. The version 1 is thx ultra certified, the version 2 is not. Would it be neccessary or idea to match the thx version with thx certified speakers?

I have a 505 version 1 with an Arcam FMJ 23 CD player and Martin Logan Senerio's ,Cinema, Scripts. I find the sound very good comparing it to my old system Krell 300IL , Lector CD, Quad 63's. I too wanted to have just one system to deal with. The Quad/Krell was a little more natural sounding, but not enough to make me upgrade to the Krell Showcase system.
