Has anyone hacked the Esoteric DV-50 to make it region free? I saw that JVB Digital has a plug-in card to help with region encoding though it won't convert PAL to NTSC it would at least allow me to view movies from other regions. I was wondering if anyone had tried it or other methods to free us from the tyranny of the MPAA.....

Follow Ups:
In the long run, you'll probably be better off buying a 2nd DVD player that has the capability of easily switching between regions, and can convert PAL to NTSC internally. That's what I did.

I looked for a hack for your player, but didn't come across one. Here's a possible solution: DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink.
You can use these software tools to make perfect copies of your other-region DVDs without region restrictions.
Thanks,I found a hardware hack
