I made sure the copy I bought was in widescreen format which is clearly indicated on the back and front of the box.I got it for $10 at Circuit City. Is there a known problem with this DVD? I do not see anywhere in the menus to enable WS as some DVD titles include both versions.
TIA. All other movies I tried afterwards do play in WS so I don't believe it is an incorrect setting on my player.

Follow Ups:
I rented a copy and there is no problem (except that the movie was a big disappointment)

It's on the flip side, wrong packaging or manufacturing fault. Hey, I bought a CD once... which had no CD inside! Nada. Things happen.

Does the disc have 2 sides? A few are both WideScreen & Full Screen on the same disc, just flip them over. Otherwise, take it back & say a mistake in packaging was made.
